Meet the Family |
Todd, 40
During the construction boom in Arizona, Todd jumped in and opened up a contracting company, fulfilling his dream of owning his own business. Things were going great. For a while. Unfortunately, the bottom fell out of the construction world and after years of struggling to stay afloat, Todd lost his business. He's been trying to keep his head above water ever since. He's been married to Laura for four years but has two children from a previous marriage that live with them. While Todd is uncertain about their financial future, he knows one thing for sure. "No matter what happens, I will have the strength and love of my family to depend on."

Laura, 40
Laura is a first grade teacher who has five children from a previous marriage, including a set of 14-year old triplets, that all live with them. Before meeting Todd, Laura was a struggling single mom but somehow managed to go back to school to fulfill her dream of getting a masters degree in Educational Leadership. According to Laura, "Raising 7 kids can be challenging but when things are good, there is nothing better!"

Heather, 16
Todd's eldest child, Heather, found it easy to accept Laura into their lives. "My dad was happy when he met her and that made it easy to adjust to her being around. But it was a big change going from just my brother and I to seven kids in one house!" A very active teenager, Heather swims, plays soccer, basketball, and track. She's hoping to get a scholarship for soccer or track so she can pursue her dream of becoming a doctor or a career in political science.

Bailey, 16
Laura's eldest, Bailey, is busy in her own right. This former shy girl runs track and has two part-time jobs. After her mom's divorce from her father, Bailey found it hard to see he mom date...that is until Todd came in the picture. "It's like I knew they were meant to be!"
Bailey's short term goal is to buy a car by saving half of every paycheck. After high school she hopes to attend ASU to major in the health field or psychology.

Levi, 15
His biggest passions are baseball, football, golfing, hunting and fishing. He's currently on the high school baseball team and spends a lot of his free time practicing. Fortunately for Levi, he has two step brothers who love baseball, too!
And of course, Laura's triplets... |
Whitney, 14
The first of the three triplets, Whitney is very close to her brothers...but completely different. She's not interested in playing sports but instead plays piano, guitar and loves to sing. Whitney never liked any of the guys her mom dated - including Todd. It took a couple years, but the super serious Whitney finally warmed to Todd, who she credits for showing her how to laugh at herself. Always with a smile on her face, Whitney hopes to someday pursue a career in the Arts.

Dylan, 14
Dylan is the second born of the triplets. A laidback jokester who is definitely not fond of manual labor, Dylan is constantly on the lookout for a way out of doing chores. But when his siblings have a serious need for someone to talk to, Dylan puts away the wise cracks and opens up his arms. He's an avid baseball player who hopes to make a career out of ball playing.
REX, 14
Rex is the last born of the triplets. Rex is a great student who juggles 3 honors classes in addition to his regular course load. Not bad for someone who says that school isn't his favorite thing! Rex has always been a big saver and seeing his family lose their money has been particularly tough on him. Another avid baseball player, Rex would love a to get into the sports industry someday.

And finally... |
Danielle, 10
Laura's youngest child and the "baby" of the family, Danielle carries on the family tradition of loving sports. She's been on a competitive cheer, swim, gymnastics and softball teams but loves cheerleading the most because she gets to "dance, cheer and do gymnastics all in one sport!"
